Acoustronic to collaborate with the Ulster Orchestra on new work entitled Zoom Time

Walled City Music with funding from Arts Council of Northern Ireland have commissioned Frank Lyons and Acoustronic to create a new work in collaboration with the Ulster Orchestra. The new piece is entitled Zoom Time and will be based on the experiences of the musicians in Acoustronic during the Covid pandemic.

Acoustronic and Benyounes Quartet perform Frank Lyons' NonZeroSum

Acoustronic will feature with the Benyounes Quartet in a performance of Frank Lyons' NonZeroSum at the RNCM Chamber Music Festival on 17 March 2019. The performance will be a world first for an inclusive ensemble using the latest network technology to bring together Acoustronic performing in Derry and Benyounes in Manchester.

Acoustronic named as Ensemble in Residence at Royal Irish Academy of Music

Acoustronic have been appointed as Ensemble in Residence at the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) and will be the lead ensemble in the Creative Ireland funded Le Chéile Project. This bold and visionary appointment by RIAM is a world first; Acoustronic are the first inclusive ensemble to be appointed as ensemble in residence at a national music conservatory anywhere in the world.
